Bluum: March Box Review

As part of my recent subscription box kick, I snagged a 3-month subscription to Bluum on LivingSocial for $28 after promo codes. What drew me to Bluum is that they offered full-size products for mommy and baby based on your child's current development stage. Each box is advertised as having "a value of $40 or more and contain 5 or more full-size products. The age range begins with our pregnancy line where products are covering the life of a soon-to-be mom and a few items for the growing child. The baby line covers monthly boxes from newborn to 12 months. Toddlers range from 13 to 36 months and are followed by pre-K and pre-school boxes for children all the way up to 5 years."
For March, I received the 3rd Trimester box and here is what I found inside...

Boiron - Oscillo - 3 Doses - $6.99

As soon as you start feeling run down or have other flu-like symptoms, such as headache, body aches, chills and fever, take Oscillococcinum. Oscillo® is supported by published clinical studies, as well as more than 65 years of use throughout the world.
My Thoughts - I fortunately have not needed to try this yet but I'm sure I'll have a chance to while nursing Minion. I like the concept of it but was disappointed that this item was clearly labeled as a "sample" on the back. Not exactly what I consider to be a "full-size product."

Blum Naturals - Towelettes - Cucumber - $7.49

Blum Naturals is built on the simple things in life and uses ingredients found only in nature. The products are infused with natural plant extracts, fruit sugars and nourishing antioxidants that easily remove waterproof makeup and dirt buildup leaving your skin clean and smooth.
My Thoughts - I love facial cleansing wipes and use them nearly every day. Since I have an almost full pack of Simple wipes I am working on right now, I don't want to open these up just yet. But I look forward to giving them a try and comparing them to my go to favorites.

Angel Dear - Ring Rattle - Yellow Monster - $6.00

This funny yellow robot ring rattle from Angel Dear is the perfect introduction to soft, sensory play - your little one will love to grab and shake it - helping create a soft, pleasing sound.
My Thoughts - While I would never pay full price for a simple rattle like this, I really am please with getting this toy for Minion. I've been on the look out for cute toys that we will be able to clip onto his Go-Pod for entertainment while we hang out in the living room.

Disney Baby - Cuddly Bodysuit-0M-3M - $14.99

The Disney Cuddly Bodysuit with grow-an-inch snaps is the softest, sweetest way to introduce Disney to your little character. Made with 100% cotton and a double row of snaps, this bodysuit is made to last for your growing child.
My Thoughts - This onesie is super extremely soft and I am sure we will get some good use out of it. If only Minion didn't already have a gazillion clothes in this size :-/

Luna - Bars - Chocolate Dipped Coconut - $2.00

You're busy. You need a snack. Dive into this decadent chocolate and coconut Luna bar - you won't regret it.
My Thoughts - This was the only item I have used so far. I am a big fan of meal bars for their simplicity and Luna is a brand that my midwife recommend early on in my pregnancy. The Chocolate Dipped Coconut flavor was very delicious :)
Overall Impression: While I still really like the concept of this box, I was a little disappointed with the contents in my March box. Even at full suggested retail (as disclosed by Bluum) my box only had a value of $37.47 which is a little shy of the $40 benchmark they set for themselves. And that's excusing the fact that this box has an Amazon value of $22.12. Since I only paid $9.33 for mine, I am not overly upset but I would be very disappointed if I paid the full $24.95 that Bluum typically charges. I'm hoping that my next 2 boxes offset my "meh" feelings about this one.
