Summer is officially upon us and with that comes swim suit season! Our move to the RGV area of Texas means we are only an hour away form South Padre Island and we definitely are planning to take advantage of that year round.
Now of course with each new summer, it is time to buy a new swim suit. Even when you have a great piece from last year, there's something so exciting about having a new one ;) But you know my frugal self doesn't pay full price for anything especially swimwear!

This year, I knew I wanted a piece with a bit of ruching since I am still working towards my goal weight. I feel like this is a great look for women who want to minimize their bellies. I ended up snagging a cute swimsuit dress on ebay last month instead, but these suits are definitely after my heart!
I know I will need to be getting a new swim towel this summer since I bought my last one 10 years ago and this bold typographic number is just awesome! And of course you can't go to the beach without a good bag. I still have my very similar hobo bag I snagged on clearance at Old Navy back in high school. Despite being light weight, these babies hold up great!
And don't even get me started on that green caftan! Boy do I want that piece! It's just perfect for roaming around the island when you aren't soaking up sun or water.
