Weekly Intentions: July 7

It has been a long, long time since my last Weekly Intentions post. And while they were a bit of a fail last time, I really miss having a centralized spot listing the things I hope to accomplish each week. So I am gonna give it another shot...

Purchase History: Week of June 24

Our last days in Europe, meant snagging some items for my personal collection. I love birds especially porcelain ones, so when the hubs saw this one at Rundale Palace, he knew I had to have it :) Also I have been looking for some tasteful maxi dresses for summer so I couldn't pass up on this incredible deal from Deals Genius.
This includes all clothing, accessories, home decór, craft supplies, make-up etc. This list does not include food, toiletries, household cleaning supplies, gifts, items for Luke, bills, fees for personal services, travel expenses or business expenses.

Purchase History: June 17

Last week was all about shoes when of the two pairs I packed, one was not weather appropriate and the other fell apart as I was wearing them in Paris. Thank you H&M Paris for having a cute reasonably priced sandal! :-)

Establishing a Blogging Schedule

{source}

Behind the scenes over here, I have been working on developing a blog post schedule. Initially I thought about blogging on specific subjects on specific days. The problem with this is that my interests vary wildly depending on my mood. I want to deliver original, insightful content and if Tuesdays were limited to only cooking but I hadn't felt like cooking that week, then my content would suffer.

Purchase History: Week of June 10

I had fun doing some sales tax-free shopping in NH last week. Most of what I got were from little indie boutiques in Rockport. But I really love this skirt that will be going to Latvia with me :)

Ankle Pants Refashion

Since we will be delegates of the Special Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses while we are in Latvia, we have to follow certain guidelines for our dress and grooming. One of these is that we cannot wear blue jeans while in the convention city. Since I've lost a lot of weight, I didn't have any non-denim pants. As the budget savvy gal I am, I went hunting for some cheap pairs.

How I'm Trying Not To Gain Weight on Vacation

{source} Chocolate Chip Cannoli
from Mike's Pastry in Boston - I am eating this!

Before heading out of town, I was hovering right at 10 pounds from my goal. I am so proud of my progress, but with our summer of travel, I'm nervous about keeping it off.
Since a large portion of our vacation revolves around food, I don't want to feel deprived by tracking everything I eat and then feel guilty if I eat something fattening. But I also don't want to undo any of the hard work I've done for the last year.

Purchase History: May 2013

May was all about shopping for my Art collect, buying smaller sized clothes, and picking up some last minute things for our trip (like my first pair of new PJs in 3 years). I also bought a little journal that might change how I do these posts from here on out. It has be list my purchases by week and the sketch them too... it's pretty fun and I'll see how it goes :)

If Our Wedding Was in 2013?

Since our Anniversary was last week, I have been thinking about our wedding a lot. Thinking back to that day, I love how our wedding turned out. Everything came together exactly how I envisioned and I really loved all the details! For the budget we had, our circumstances, and the things I loved then, our wedding was exactly how I dreamed it to be.
But it's always fun to wonder if I would do it differently if I was getting married now instead of 3 years ago. So I collected some of the wedding ideas I've found since ours and decided to show y'all what kind of wedding I would have in 2013 (if money was no object)...

Our Wedding: Inspiration vs. Reality

Happy Anniversary to us!
Three years ago today I married my best friend and love of my life :) It has been a crazy insane and super eventful three years and I wouldn't trade them for anything!
A while ago, I wanted to compare the planning vision I had for our wedding and how it ended up coming together. The inspiration pictures I used in this comparison were ones I actually gathered while we were wedding planning and most of our wedding photos were taken by SixFourteen Photography.

Stumbling Across our Wedding Online

While preparing one of my posts that will be coming up later in the week, I randomly came across some of our wedding photos on a blog called, Wed Loft. They were used in a post about featuring black lace in weddings. It's always super exciting and flattering to know that someone else was inspired by something you did :)

7 Steps to Spread Art Love

Last week I talked about building my Art Collection more and spent a lot of time window shopping for Art on Etsy. This got me thinking about how to spread love for visual art in the blogosphere. Therefore I came up with 7 easy steps for bloggers to spread "Art Love."

Window Shopping for Art

Last Friday, I spent the day perusing Etsy for art pieces to add to my collection. Before I knew it the whole day had gone by and I had dozens of pieces I wanted. It took the weekend for me to narrow down which ones I would buy and also to ruminate on the idea of creating some of my own inspired on the ones I love. Her are just a few of my favorites...

Purchase History: April 2013

So April was all about buying more stuff for our Evacuation kit and our Summer trip. I also finally bit the bullet and bought a "new to us" iPod to replace Luke's old one that got stolen a couple years ago. Since the radio stations down here suck, I was going crazy not being able to listen to any new music. So now I was able to get my old iPod back and Luke could customize his to the music he likes. Win Win :)

My Take on 50 for a Fashionista

So in no way do I claim to be a Fashionista but I do enjoy identifying my own personal fashion sense. I recently came across Chic Street Style's post on 50 for a Fashionista. I enjoyed reading through her list of must-haves and decided to share my commentary on the list ;)
